FARRIS TRUCK STOP, Faucett, MO 64448/816-238-5666. This
unusual tourist attraction was erected in Oct. 1976 to advertise
the newly-opened Farris Truck Stop on 1-29 at the Faucett, MO
exit. The 1974 Peterbilt truck, with a 1965 Fruehauf trailer, stands
at an overall height of about 50 feet. It is mounted on pillars, set
in 60 yards of steel-reinforced concrete. This display also com-
memorates the town of Faucett, founded on July 18, 1890 by mcg
R.H. Faucett. .
