50 TVA's Kentucky Dam and Lake-Kentucky Dam, in the Tennessee River about 20 miles from Paducah, Kentucky, was built at a cost of $114,000,000. The dam creates Kentucky Lake which is 184 miles long and has a shore- line of 2,200 miles. Construction of Kentucky SS: Dam was begun in 1938 and completed in 1944.
