No. 123. INDEPENDENCE HALL, PHILADEL-
PHIA. The scene of the Declaration of Independence,
July 4th, 1776. It was first occupied as the State House
of Pennsylvania in October, 1735, and the Constitutional
Convention met there in 1787. A replica of this beauti-
ful and historic building has been erected upon the
Exposition Grounds as the State Building of Pennsyl
vania. (See card No. 124.)
