Soldier and priest marched side by side in the
days of the Spanish Conquest, and simultaneously
with the occupation of New Mexico mission

built. The exact date of the present Santo
Domingo church is hard to determine as the
pueblo has been moved from one side of the Rio
Grande river to the other; it has existed, however,
