Grampian Express. Caledonian Railway 300 ton
mile-a-minute express, drawn by engine of "Dunalastair"
type. Number 780 was built at St. Rollox in 1898, and
frequently runs King Edward's royal train. It carries five
tons of coal, 4, 125 gallons of water, and weighs 94 tons. A
similar type of engine has been adopted by the Belgian
Government for the State railways.
