Reis Library, Allegheny College

REIS LIBRARY at Allegheny College, Meadville, Pa. was built in 1902 and doubled in size in 1931. It is noted for its beautiful memorial rooms and fine collections. In 1958 it had 139,000 volumes, including the original library given in 1820-22, the Ida M. Tarbell Lincoln Collection and the Craig Room for recreational reading. Color Photo by Richard C.
