Each year since 1940 this aquatennial cele-
bration has been held. It is sponsored by civic
and business organizations to help in promoting
the City of Minneapolis and the State of Minnesota.
Held each year, the third week of July, the Aqua-
tennial Day Parade is one of its highlights.
