The Pueblo of Isleta is situated 13 miles South of Albu-
querque, one of the most modern of Indian Pueblos being
about 300 years. Population 1300 and is not decreasing.
Owing to its nearness to the Santa Fe mail line and Albu-
querque, the Indians prove an interesting sight to visitors; and
readily purchase from their own hands pottery and other
articles that these Indians manufacture.
