Situated on the floor of the Canyon del Rito de los Frijoles, about thirty-five miles from Santa Fe, New Mexico, and at the foot of the cliffs in which thousands of cave dwellings are found, it would appear that this prehistoric pueblo, was one of the first efforts of these ancient people to build houses away from the cliffs and is a link in the chain of evidence which proves that pueblo Indians of today are descendants of the ancient cliff dwellers
