Situated 7,788 feet above the sea (the larg-
est body of water in North America at such
an altitude) it embraces an area of about
150 square miles. Several islands dot its
surface. Motor boats offer an opportunity
of riding on one of the highest navigated
lakes in the world. There are numberous
hot springs, paint pots and some geysers.
