famous in railroad history and folklore. Casey
Jones lived in Jackson (221 W. Chester St.)
prior to his death in the famous wreck at
Vaughn, Mississippi, April 30, 1900.
1900. He is
buried in Calvary Cemetery in Jackson, Tenn.
His picture was featured in 1950 on a U. S.
Commemorative stamp honoring railroad en-
gineers of America.
