This mile-high resort is located in the San
Jacinto Mountains and is the center of Indian
hunting grounds. One of the finest of picto-
graphs rocks is found in Fern Valley. Designs
found here are the same as found among the
early Aztecs of Mexico. Indians from the
village of Ivah, located where San Jacinto now
stands, hunted the San Jacinto Mountains as
there were great numbers of deer, bear, and
other wild life. Cahuilla Indians from the
