GOVERNMENT CAMP, OREGON
Elevation 3,875 ft.
Situated at the base of majestic Mt. Hood, is
located in the center of one of Oregon's finest
outdoor recreation areas. Its name originated in
1849 when an Army detachment had to abandon
a large amount of equipment and the area
became known as Government Camp.
