The hall, named in honor of Professor Ira O. Chapman who was associated with the College for over 30 years, was built in 1864 but completely rebuilt in 1966-67. It contains faculty offices and classrooms for the Humanities including language, accounting and audio-visual laboratories. Mount Union College, founded in 1846, is a co-educational, liberal arts college affiliated with the United Methodist Church
