STATE SEAL
The new State Seal (depicted) was designed in ac-
Z cordance with a description for the same in Joint
Resolution No. 8, Laws of 1928. The design in the
main follows along the lines of the original seal but
the date, 1776, is set out in Arabic figures instead of
in the Roman numerals formerly employed, and the
motto "Liberty and Prosperity." never before author-
ized, is now a part of the Seal.
The description of the Seal in the Joint Resolution
above referred to also states the heraldic colors and
tinctures to be used when the arms of the Seal are
illuminated.
