MILLION DOLLAR HIGHWAY, COLORADO
Silverton is noted for the mining of gold,
silver, lead, zinc, copper, iron and other metals.
Several of the surrounding peaks are higher than
13,000 ft. and the region is ideal for hunting and
fishing.
During tourist season, the famous Narrow
Gauge Train comes here and returns to Durango,
Colo., South about 40 miles.
