| The Asheville Mission Hospital was started in the year 1884 in a five room house, and from this modest beginning has steadily grown until its capacity is now around 130 beds. It is a general hospital fully approved by the American College of Surgeons and is continually increasing in usefulness and effectiveness in its service to the community |
