The Phillipsburg, Kansas plant of the Cooperative
Refinery Association. Built in 1939, it was the first
cooperative refinery in the United States. Original
capacity of 3,500 barrels of crude per day, it has
been expanded to a capacity of 13,000 barrels per
day and is one of the most up-to-date
most up-to-date refineries
in the United States.
