Originating in the Province of Dalarna, SWEDEN, in the
early 1700's, this stubby creature is now the adopted symbol
of Lindsborg, Kansas. Traditionally Orange-Red, it also ap-
pears in many other colors, with varying saddle patterns and
phrasing. Most families here mark their homes with such
signs, a custom generic to this community. Dala Horses,
Yule Goats, and many other Swedish toys and ornaments
