CASTLE ROCK
St. Ignace, Michigan
A landmark just north of St. Ignace, along
highway 1-75. Castle Rock was used as an
ancient lookout by the Algonquin Indians.
St. Ignace is one of the oldest communities
in Michigan. Jean Nicolet was here in 1634,
though it wasn't until 1671 that the city
was founded.
