This immense structure of reinforced concrete
contains 1,100 cubic yards, exclusive of walks,
balustrades and steps. To supply the falls and
fountains, a pumping station is required equipped
with one horizontal direct connected centrifugal
pump with a capacity of 2,000 gallons a minute,
and another with a capacity of 1,000 gallons a
minute. The same water tumbling over the Cas-
cades is repumped and used over and over again.
