Peace Bridge

Commemorates 100 years of Peace between United States and Canada. It was opened to traffic June 1, 1927, and dedicated by the Prince of Wales and Vice-President Dawes. It makes Buffalo the chief port of entry to Canada from the United States, and is the only vehicular bridge on the Great Lakes from Miagara Falls to Duluth. The bridge is 4,900 feet in length, including approaches, 50 feet in width, and cost $4,500.000 to build. |
