Additional Details:
One of the most wonderful engineering feats in the world. For four miles, the track twists and turns down the mountain side into the lowlands; over high bridges, trestle spirals and through snow sheds, until it forms a complete loop. The track is visible at one point in four places. There are two spirals-one of 4,800 feet and the second 3,500 feet long.
