The Louisville Municipal Building at the corner
of S. Mill and E. Gorgas Streets and the Gold
Star Mothers' Memorial stand at the beginning of
the block-long Avenue of Flags erected in 1971
in conjunction with the community's 19th obser-
ance of Constitution Day, September 17th. Flags
displayed here include those from all of the 50
states plus the District of Columbia.
