WELCOME TO NEW GLASGOW, NOVA SCOTIA
Founded in 1798, New Glasgow, Nova Scotia was named after
Glasgow, Scotland by James Carmichael. He built the first
house and is said to have selected the site of the town on
the East River, in Beautiful New Glasgow, Nova Scotia.
