The main entrance to this splendid bene-
volence. The bronze bust in the center is
that of Henry W. Putnam, in whose mem-
ory the hospital and its equipment has been
given, to Bennington, by his son H. W.
Putnam, Jr. It has been Mr. Putnam's
pleasure to not only incrgase the capacity
of the main building from time to time, and
add several other beautiful buildings for the
use of employees and nurses, but he con-
tinues to contribute large sums of money
toward its maintenance.
