K.147-SPLIT ROCK LIGHTHOUSE
Stationed on a 200-foot cliff overlooking
Lake Superior, the Lighthouse stands majestically
as a guide to boats plying the Great Lakes. Split
Rock is so-named because two cliffs a quarter of
a mile apart, when viewed from the lake appear
as one split in twain. It is a nationally famous i
scenic point of interest on Minnesota's North
Shore Drive, 46 miles from Duluth.
