XROMEⓇ CARD BY 22 LITTLE CREEK AMPHIBIOUS BASE The Naval Amphibious Base, Little Creek, the largest base of its kind in the world, is responsible for providing various logistics and training support to the Atlantic Fleet am- phibious force. The base, located in the Norfolk/Virginia Beach area, borders the Chesapeake Bay. Approximately 15 miles from the Virginia Beach Oceanfront and 11 miles from downtown Norfolk, the Naval Amphibious Base operates and maintains more than 11,000 acres of land at four sites in three states within which 12,000 military and civilian em- ployees work together.
