The new Interior Building was completed in
1937, at a cost of about $13,000,000. It is a
gigantic building covering 51/2 acres of ground.
Besides the offices for the departmental units
it contains a museum, cafeteria for govern-
ment workers, auditorium, and garage space
for the cars of the officials and their staffs.
