This remarkable view occurs at two seasons
of the year, when the sun rises directly be-
hind the mountain peak, illuminating the sky
and giving a golden reflection on Lost Lake.
On a certain day in the fall the sun in rising
follows the north outline of the mountain G 2
slope and appears to roll up the mountain
side.
