OLD QUAKER MEETING HOUSE
FLUSHING, LONG ISLAND, N. Y.
One of the few remaining houses of worship dating from the
17th Century, this building, built in 1694, has been continuously
used as a meeting place of the Society of Friends, except
when occupied for a time by the British forces during the
Revolutionary War. Yellow building in the background is the
Flushing Town Hall.
