THE GOLDEN DOME of the Administration building
of Notre Dame is a landmark for many miles around
South Bend, Indiana. The building was erected in
1879 by the Rev. Edward F. Sorin, C.S.C., founder
of Notre Dame along with other members of his ad-
ministration and faculty.
