UNITED STATES HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES
Representatives of the 92nd Congress were offi-
cially photographed on January 26, 1972, while
attending to House business. This chamber was
first occupied by the House of Representatives
in 1857. It is large enough to accommodate the
Senate and other government officials when joint
Congressional sessions are held. The Honorable
Carl Albert, as Speaker of the House, presides
over all assemblies in the House Chamber.
