McDonnell Douglas DC-9 Super 80
The new, advanced technology DC-9 Super 80 is the quie-
test jetliner in commercial operation. Technology accom-
plishments in this new aircraft include aviation's most
advanced digital flight guidance system, new highly efficient
smokeless engines, and a newly designed wing.
The aircraft is 147'10" (54.05 m) long, has a wingspan of
107'10" (32.86 m) and weighs 147,000 pounds (66.679 kg)
fully loaded
