Belmont Lake State Park is one of the state parks under the jurisdiction of the Long Island State Park Commission. The park is located on the Southern State Parkway, 42 miles from New York City and about 4 miles north of the Village of Babylon. The principal attractions are the woodland picnic areas, boating and canoeing on Belmont Lake, and several miles of bridal paths and hiking trails.
