High Street, Oxford, known as “The High,” is one of
the most interesting streets in the world. In it are several
of the leading colleges and churches, the ancient and
modern associations of which, as well as the architectural
beauties, render " The High ” unique among streets. The
picture includes the tower of All Souls' College (founded
1437) and a portion of the buildings of Queen's College
(founded 1340).
