This glorious assemblage of statesman and Patriots,
portrayed in characteristic attitude, from a constellation
of illustratious Virginians surrounding WASHINGTON,
"the central luminary." The base is designed as a six-
point star on the rays of which are placed the statues of
Jefferson, Henry, Marshall, Mason, Nelson and Lewis.
