The Boat Landing at Summit Beach Park is
on Summit Lake within the city limits of Akron.
A canal connects the beach with Portage Lakes.
Portage Lakes consist of a chain of lakes cover-
ing an area of 1300 acres. It is part of a state
park four miles south of Akron. The State
Fishery is located here. There is boating and
bathing on the lakes.
