This majestic new railroad terminal will occupy the
entire block bounded by Jackson Boulevard and Adams
Street and Canal and Clinton Streets. It will furnish
accommodations to four railroads, the Pennsylvania,
Chicago, Burlington & Quincy, Chicago, Milwaukee &
St. Paul and the Chicago & Alion Companies. The pas-
senger station in itself will be a massive rectangular
edifice of white marble and with all improvements the
total cost will be about $65,000,000.
