GROTE REBER WITH REBER RADIO TELESCOPE Green Bank, West Virginia The Reber Telescope was designed and built in 1937 by Grote Reber, an amateur astronomer and electronics engineer from Wheaton, Illinois. From 1937 until after WWII he was the world's only active radio astronomer.
