One of the very difficult pieces of engineering
in this section, as there is no other route except
to follow the steep and rapid descent that follows
along the canyon of the Rio Grande--Halt occasion-
ally en route to gaze at beauty of the perpendicular
walls of the towering mountains, that hover
either side of the canyon and listen to the murmur:
of the rapids of the Rio Grande as it hastens on
to the Gulf of Mexico.
