This beautiful office building is the head-
quarters of KDKA, the world's pioneer broad-
casting station. Atop the building is a
3,250,000 candlepower aerial beacon which
can be seen more than 75 miles from
Pittsburgh on clear nights. Beneath this larger
beacon is a flashing red neon light which
spells the word "PITTSBURGH" in morse
code. Aviators can see this light approximately
150 miles away.
