This impressive monument to Brigham Young
and the "Mormon" Pioneers stands at the
intersection of South Temple and Maine Street,
the meridian of the Salt Lake Hy Street
System. The monument is surmounted by a
bronze statue of Brigham Young. At the sides
are two ideal figures/representing a hunter
and an Indian. A bronze relief tablet the
front of the monument represents Pioneers
camping at night. On the bada 4,4 the wames
of all of the first company of "Mormon" pio-
neers to reach the Great Salt Hoka valley.
