First Methodist was founded in 1845, and
this sanctuary was erected in 1913. It has a
membership of 5,000 and a staff of 23 persons.
It is probably one of the best known buildings
in Shreveport, because of its unique location
at the "Head" of the main business street and
because of its well publicized purpose to "Serve
a City":
