THE METHODIST CHURCH
ELIZABETHTOWN, KENTUCKY
The Methodist Church in Elizabethtown was
founded in 1791, during George Washington's
administration, and one year before Kentucky
was admitted to the Union. The present building
is the fifth to be occupied by the church and
represents the finest in contemporary architecture.
At a cost of $700,000 it seats 900 and is one of
the largest of this type in the United States.
