ST. MARY OF MT. CARMEL SHRINE
Manistee, Michigan
Designed to follow the form of the sand dunes of the
Manistee-Lake Michigan shore line where it will be
built.
Shown are the Church, Parish Hall, Rectory, and
Administration Offices, whose construction will begin
in April, 1961. A new school and convent will be
built later. This Shrine is expected to have so much
appeal, because of the uniqueness and beauty of
design, that it will stand out as one of the most
impressive religious attractions in the nation.
