Laggan Avenue. This is a picturesque point on the
Caledonian Canal which is entered on by the traveller
from Fort William soon after passing through Loch Lochy
and immediately before entering into Loch Oich. The
Canal takes a long and graceful curve at this point, the
banks being covered by larch and other Highland trees.
The background of massive hills, clad with delicate foliage,
gives a most beautiful effect.
