Bump Tavern

This was a typical turnpike tavern, c. 1800, built in Ashland near Windham, N.Y. by Jehiel Tuttle and owned by Ephraim Bump. In 1844 the front roof was raised and the pillars and porch added. In 1952, Bump Tavern was moved to Cooperstown, where it became part of the collection of historic buildings at The Farmers’ Museum Dexter Press, Inc |
