The main concourse of the Union Terminal, com-
pieted in 1933, at a cost of $42,000,000, is re-
garded as the finest terminal in the nation. Visitors
from all over the world have admired its utilitarian
beauty. The Terminal is semi-circular in shape,
and the right and left hand sides of the dome con-
tain the largest silhouette mosaics in the world, the
left hand mural portraying the history of transporta-
tion, and the right hand side, the growth of Cin-
cinnati, Ohio. The terminal also contains complete
information and ticket windows, retail shops, restau-
rants and service facilities.
