THREE ERAS OF PROGRESS
The new Toronto City Hall completed in 1965 with
Nathan Philips Square in foreground- - a symbol
of progress.
The old City Hall built in 1899 with its stately
architecture. The tower stands 285 feet. This building
has seen Toronto grow into one of North America's
greatest industrial cities.
Toronto's first City Hall, an Elizabethan Gothic style,
similar to the ancient St. Lawrence Hall located at
Jarvis and Front Streets. Built in 1844.
